- Registration
  - How do I register for this site?
    - If you want to create a student account you must have a facebook account. Facebook's system will tell us if you're a student or not. Click here to create a student account
    - If you want to create a NON-Student account click here.
      Note: certain parts of the site are restricted to student accounts only
  - I forgot my password.
    Ah, Silly rabbit! Click on the link('forgot my password') and enter the email address you registered with. We'll create on and send it to your email address.
  - I am a student but CollegeMedium says I'm not!
    You need to verify on facebook that you are indeed in a university network by following the steps below:
    1. Log into your facebook account
    2. On the left side of the page click "My Account"
    3. On the top of the page click "Networks" Tab
    4. Verify that you are in a College Network and your status is set to "Undergrad" or "Grad Student"
    5. Log back into CollegeMedium using your facebook account and your account type will be automatically set to "Student" assuming you are in a College Network on facebook.

  - Do you have my facebook password?
    Nope. We never actually see your password. Facebook authenticates you for us. They also tell us if you're a student or not.
  - Can I log in with my Facebook acount
    Yes, you can. You don't even have to be a student. Anyone with a facebook account can use it to log in.

  - CollegeMedium Says I'm not a student when indeed I am
    You need to verify on facebook that you are indeed in a university network by following the steps below:

  - Why cant I view a job?
    Jobs on CollegeMedium can only be viewed by student accounts. Click here to create a student account or login with your student account.

    Housing on CollegeMedium can only be viewed by student accounts. Click here to create a student account or login with your student account.

  - Who can post items in the For-Sale section
    Only students are able to post items for sale in the CollegeMedium marketplace; however, eveyone is able to buy items. To create a student account click here

- Usage
  - Who can see the items I post?
    All items posted on CollegeMedium will only be displayed at the school in which they were listed.
- Navigation
  - How is my Home page determined?
    When you visit the site for the first time, your homepage is Georgia Tech. From then on, the last school you view will become your homepage until you register, then you can set one permanently.
    If your homepage gets stuck at a random school, just delete the cookies on your internet browser to reset it.
- Text Message
  - How does this work?
    CollegeMedium will send you a text message anytime someone responds to your posting. It's a nice way to alert the poster of your interest.
    
    Note: You will have to verify your cellphone by inputing a cell-phone number in 'My Account'. A verification code will be sent to your phone. Enter the code in the Verify box in 'My account'
Advertising
- General Questions
  - What is an Impression?
    An impression is the number of times your ads will be displayed. So if you buy 3000 impressions, your ad will be displayed 3000 times on the page(s) you selected.
  - Does it cost more to post with a link or photo?
    Nope, the $5 charge is all inclusive.
  - Where will my ads be displayed?
    Depends.
    If you selected a National Ad then it will be shown on the homepage of every school and other non targeted areas of the site such as the registration page, logout page, etc.
    If you selected Micro Targeted Ad then it will be displayed on the right or left side of page in which you choose to advertise. For example if you have a local bookstore you would advertise in the ???For Sale??? Category and the ???Books??? subcategory page so that students searching for books will see your ad.
  - How do I start to post Ads?
    Click here
  - Does CollegeMedium.com have any restrictions on Ads?
    Yes, Ads with explicit, racial or derogatory language or reference will be promptly removed. All photos uploaded with your ad must have the approval of the original content creator. Any ads deemed in appropriate will also be removed.
  - What type of photos can I upload?
    You can upload .jpg, .gif, and .png files that are less than 4MB is size.
    Note: Images will be rescaled.
  - Where will my link be displayed?
    Your link will be displayed if a user places their mouse over your ad. If your ad is clicked the user will be directed back to your site.
  - How will my ads be displayed?
    Your ads will be displayed in rotation with other ads at a specific school.
  - How can I see my ads?
    You can go to the homepage of the school you??™re advertising in and click the ???view all??? link under the ads on the right. This will display all national and targeted ads at that school.
  - Can I change or edit a purchased Ad?
    No. We provide dynamic preview of your ad to ensure it??™s right the first time.
  - Can I get a full or partial refund for ads purchased?
    No. Simply put, we do not give refunds for any reason.
  - How do I know that my ad is running?
    We will send you an email when your ad starts running. Alternatively you can go to the school you??™re advertising in and click the ???view all??? button on the right to see all ads that are active in that school.
  - When will my ad stop running?
    You ad will stop running after it has reached the number of impression you specified when you purchased the ad. We cannot tell you exactly when it will stop running because this depends on our traffic levels.
  - Do I need to have a google account to purchase ads?
    No. A google account can be created when you purchase the ad. This makes it very easy and fast to order additional ads.
  - What is the difference between a National Ad and Targeted Ad?
    Ads that are placed as National ads will be displayed on the right side of the homepage of all schools in our system. In addition these ads will also be displayed in other non target areas of the site, such as the registration page, the faq page..etc
    
    Targeted Ads will be displayed on the right or left side of page in which you choose to advertise. For example if you have a local bookstore then you should advertise in the ???For Sale??? Category and the ???Books??? subcategory page so that students searching for books will see your ad.
  - If there are price difference in National and Targeted Ads?
    No. Both types cost the same ($5 for 3000 Impressions); however, depending on your needs, you may want to consider a National or Targeted ad.
